About Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi is a Ferrari-themed theme park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. It opened in November 2010, and nearly all of it is indoors and air-conditioned, which matters in the Gulf heat. It is run by Miral Experiences, which also operates the other Yas Island theme parks, and it's about 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and around 50 minutes from Dubai.
The park is best known for Formula Rossa, a launched roller coaster that reaches 240km/h, plus other big rides such as Flying Aces, Turbo Track and Mission Ferrari. There are gentler options too, including the Fiorano GT Challenge, a karting academy and attractions for people who don't like heights or speed, along with Italian dining and a large Ferrari shop.
Tickets are sold on the park's own website in UAE dirhams. Choices include single-day general admission, one-day tickets for any two Yas Island parks, multi-park tickets, a Yas Annual Pass and shared or private VIP experiences with priority access and a guide. Children under 3 go free, and the price of junior tickets depends on whether a child is over or under 1.1m tall. Tickets are generally non-refundable, though date changes can be made through Yas Concierge before 7pm the day before your visit.
