Irish Ferries is one of the main ferry operators between Britain, Ireland and France. It's part of Irish Continental Group, which is listed in Dublin, and traces its roots back to 1973. From Britain it sails Holyhead to Dublin (up to four sailings a day, including a fast ferry crossing in just over two hours), Pembroke to Rosslare (just over four hours), and Dover to Calais. It also runs Dublin to Cherbourg for Irish travellers heading to France.
The UK website takes bookings in pounds for foot passengers, cars, vans, motorhomes, motorbikes, bikes and pets. Economy fares are the cheapest but can't be refunded. Flexi fares can be changed before departure without a fee, and Flexi+ adds the Club Class lounge. Club Class can also be bought on its own, from £26 per person each way on the Irish Sea. The Rail & Sail tickets, booked through Trainline, combine a mainline train from more than 2,400 British stations with the Holyhead crossing.
Regular travellers can join the free Irish Ferries Club loyalty scheme, which earns 5% to 15% of eligible spend back as credit for future bookings, depending on tier. The site also accepts Tesco Clubcard tokens and sells travel vouchers. Pets can travel in pet dens, pet-friendly cabins or kennels, depending on the ship.
