About The Entertainer
The Entertainer is a British toy retailer founded in 1981 by Gary and Catherine Grant, who opened the first shop in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The company is still based there, and its holding company is Teal Group Holdings. It has sold online since 1999 through TheToyShop.com and also owns the Early Learning Centre brand.
It sells toys and games for all ages, including LEGO, dolls, action figures, arts and crafts, outdoor toys, pocket-money items, trading cards and collectibles, as well as Early Learning Centre toys for babies and young children. Gift cards can be used online and in its stores.
As well as its own shops, the company runs toy concessions inside around 800 Tesco stores, though items bought there have to go back to Tesco. Online orders can be collected free from an Entertainer store, often within an hour if the toy is in stock, and home delivery is free on orders over £39.99. Teachers, carers and Blue Light Card holders can get a discount online.
