About Uniqlo
Uniqlo is a Japanese casual clothing brand owned by Fast Retailing, whose head office is in Yamaguchi. Fast Retailing grew from a menswear shop founded in Ube in 1949, and it opened the first Uniqlo store in Hiroshima in June 1984. Uniqlo's first stores outside Japan opened in London in September 2001. Most of those early UK stores closed in 2003, but the brand has since rebuilt its UK presence.
