About UPDF
UPDF is a PDF editor made by Superace Software, a software company founded in 2021. The first version came out on iOS in early 2022, followed by Windows, Mac and Android later that year, and version 2.5 was released in March 2026. One licence covers up to four devices across all of those platforms.
The app lets you edit text, images and links in PDFs, annotate, fill in and sign forms, convert PDFs to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images, organise and merge pages, redact and password-protect files, and turn scans into searchable text with OCR. UPDF AI is an optional add-on that can summarise, translate and explain documents, chat about a PDF and turn long files into mind maps.
There is a free download to try the software first. Paid plans include UPDF Pro on a yearly subscription or a one-off lifetime licence, the UPDF AI Assistant, the UPDF Sign e-signature service, discounted education plans for students and teachers, and enterprise plans for teams.
