Alps2Alps has been getting skiers from airports to Alpine resorts since 2010. It's run by Amitours London Ltd and covers routes from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble, Chambéry, Innsbruck, Munich, Memmingen, Bergamo and Milan Malpensa to resorts in France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. You can pay in pounds, euros or US dollars, and there's a UK phone line plus 24/7 support.

It suits anyone flying out for a ski week who'd rather not hire a car or deal with resort buses. Private transfers take your group door to door in a vehicle of its own, with child seats on request. Shared transfers sell individual seats at a fixed price and make up to three stops. The cheapest option, Shared Economy, sells seats on set days with a carry-on and a 23kg bag included, and ski bags are included on the Skier and Pro fares.

What's worth a look

Here are six popular routes, with the per-person "from" prices shown on each route page.

The Geneva to Morzine run is one of the shortest, at about an hour and a half, and starts from £24 per person. If you're heading to the Matterhorn, the Geneva to Zermatt transfer covers about 229km in roughly three hours, from £42.

Austria is covered from Innsbruck and Munich. Innsbruck to St. Anton starts at £23 per person, and Munich to Kitzbühel takes about an hour and 50 minutes, from £35. All online prices include luggage, ski equipment and any child seats, and Alps2Alps says it will still get you to your resort if your flight is delayed or cancelled. Groups of up to eight can book a single van online, and larger groups can ask for a minibus or coach of up to 52 seats. The app lets you track your driver in real time.

Current offers

We don't have any Alps2Alps codes yet, but the site has some useful savings. Shared Economy transfers are 20% cheaper when you add the return journey. A price match promise beats a cheaper transfer for the same date and vehicle class by 5% if you send the link. There's also a last-minute section selling spare seats on shared runs at much lower per-seat prices, though dates and routes change all the time.

How to save more

  • Book the return at the same time on Shared Economy to get the 20% saving, and book early, as these transfers only run on selected days.
  • Choose the Skier fare if you're taking a ski or snowboard bag, as the Basic fare doesn't include one.
  • Watch the cancellation rules. Private and shared transfers are free to cancel up to 24 hours before, but that rises to 72 hours on the busiest Saturdays, including the first three in February.
