ARCCTV is a security camera brand set up in Hong Kong in 2018. It sells direct through its own website, focusing on wireless cameras that are easy to fit yourself: solar-powered outdoor cameras, battery models, pan-and-tilt Wi-Fi cameras, a 4G camera for places without broadband, indoor cameras that work as baby or pet monitors, and multi-camera kits with a recorder.

It suits homeowners, renters who want something they can take with them, and small businesses watching a yard or outbuilding. The site's default currency is US dollars, but there is a country selector at the top: choose the United Kingdom to see prices in pounds. UK orders can ship from a UK warehouse in about three to seven working days.

What's worth a look

Here's a spread across the range, from single cameras to a full system.

The SolarCam Q1 Max is the obvious starting point: a 4MP outdoor camera with a solar panel and battery, 355° pan and 90° tilt, and microSD recording. If there's no Wi-Fi at the end of the garden or on an allotment, the CellularCam G5 Max uses 4G with a built-in SIM instead.

For a bigger property, the HomeBase Pro kits pair several solar cameras with a small recorder and a 32GB card, so footage is stored in one place rather than on each camera. The SolarCam C3 Pro is a cheaper fixed camera with colour night vision. Indoors, the IndoorCam Y2 pans and tilts to follow movement, which makes it useful as a baby or pet monitor as well as a security camera. Everything is set up through the ARCCTV app.

Current offers

We don't have any ARCCTV codes in our list yet. On the site, signing up to the newsletter gets you a 10% voucher for your first order over a minimum spend. Multi-packs also cost less per camera than buying singles, and on the SolarCam Q1 Max the site shows two, three and four-camera bundles, with the saving growing as you add more. ARCCTV also advertises free cloud storage for short event clips, with no subscription.

How to save more

• Set the country to the United Kingdom before you add anything to your basket, so you see pound prices and your order can come from the UK warehouse.
• Work out how many cameras you need first. Buying a two or four-pack is cheaper per camera than adding singles later.
• Check the warranty on the product page. The homepage mentions two years, but some listings say one year outside the EU.
