Clubhouse Golf is a UK golf retailer with a custom fitting centre in Manchester and a large warehouse behind its website. It stocks the names most club golfers know, including TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno, Odyssey, PowaKaddy and Bushnell, and covers everything from irons and putters to trolleys, shoes, gloves and GPS gadgets. It suits anyone upgrading their bag on a budget, especially if you've got older clubs to trade in, and the free delivery threshold is low enough that a box of balls or a glove pack can get you over it.

What's worth a look

The TaylorMade Qi irons are a midsize cavity-back set aimed at all handicaps, built for a bigger sweet spot and straighter shots, and they're down from £719 to £539. If you'd rather spend on getting round the course, the PowaKaddy FX5 GPS electric trolley has GPS built in and is £729 for the 18-hole battery version, or £779 with the extended battery.
