Gustocamp: mobile homes and safari tents on top campsites in Italy and Austria

Gustocamp is a Dutch holiday company that has been renting out mobile homes and safari tents for more than 25 years. It doesn't run the campsites itself. Instead it puts its own accommodation on a short list of large holiday parks in Italy and Austria and has its own hosts on site to welcome you, help you settle in and sort out problems during your stay.

It suits families who like the idea of camping but would rather have a proper bed, a fridge and air conditioning than a tent and a cool box. Every unit has a terrace with shade, and some parks add free Gusto WiFi and TV with Chromecast. There's a Gusto Baby mobile home that comes ready with the baby kit, and the Safari Tent Gusto Premium has its own bathroom. You book through the UK site in English and can call a UK number, but prices are shown in euros and you make your own way to the campsite, which for most British guests means a long drive or a flight and a hire car.

What's worth a look

Six campsites from Gustocamp's 2027 early booking page, with the lowest nightly price it showed on 12 October 2026. Prices are in euros, per accommodation per night, and depend on dates and the type of mobile home or tent.

The cheapest on the list was Spiaggia e Mare at Porto Garibaldi, from €50 a night, right on a child-friendly Adriatic beach. In Tuscany, Norcenni Girasole Village near Florence started from €53 a night and has several pools, water slides and a lazy river, which makes it a good base if you want days out in Florence, Siena and the Chianti hills.

Current offers

• Early booking for 2027: up to 30% off, with only a 10% deposit and free changes and cancellation until 1 April 2027.
• MyGusto: the free members' club removes the €29 reservation fee, takes a further 5% off the accommodation price and adds a 10% voucher for the Holli app and a beach bag on arrival.
• Pitch guarantee: if you want a particular spot, it costs €35 until 31 December 2026 and €75 after that.

How to save more

• Sign up to MyGusto before you book, then enter the member promo code at step 3 of the booking. Discounts can't be added to a booking afterwards.
• Budget for the extras: tourist tax is paid on site, and things like bed linen, a baby bed or bringing a pet (where allowed) cost extra.
• Low season stays can be as short as three to five nights, while high season usually means a full week, so shoulder-season dates give you more flexibility.
