justmind.de: guided meditations and relaxing music to download

justmind.de is the German-language shop of Info Products I/S, a small publisher in Odense, Denmark, which has been selling personal development recordings through its Danish site Mindly.dk since 2007. Many of the programmes are written and read by hypnotist and NLP trainer Malte Lange, and the catalogue also includes instrumental albums for quiet listening.

It's mainly for German speakers, but it's worth knowing about if you're learning the language, have German-speaking family to buy for, or want one of the handful of English titles. Topics include confidence, mindfulness and meditation, motivation and jealousy, as well as stopping smoking. These are self-help recordings to listen to at your own pace, not medical treatment.

Almost everything is a download that's ready as soon as you've paid, and you can stream purchases in the shop's free app on a phone or tablet. Prices are in euros and include Danish VAT. Some titles are also sold on CD, posted from Denmark.

The shop has been around for a long time and the catalogue reflects that: it's a straightforward list of single titles, music albums and two-title bundles rather than a subscription app. You buy each recording once and keep it, which suits people who'd rather not pay a monthly fee for a meditation service. Support is by email in Danish or English, and the team says it aims to reply within 48 hours. If a download link has expired, the help pages explain how to get access again.

What's worth a look

Six titles, with prices as shown on the site.

Two of the picks are in English: Karen Holten's Sleep Well, a wind-down recording for bedtime, and Get Motivated, both €19.95. If you'd like music rather than speech, Der Wasserkreislauf by Niclas Malmberg follows water from rain to sea and back to the clouds, and is calm enough to have on in the background.

Check the language line on each product page before buying. It tells you whether a title is in German or English, and whether it's a spoken audiobook or music. The German programmes from Malte Lange are spoken in German throughout, so they're best for confident German listeners rather than beginners.
