JustPark is a UK parking app and website that lets you find and book a space before you set off, from big car parks to private driveways that homeowners rent out. It says it's trusted by more than 13 million drivers and has over 100,000 reservable spaces. It suits commuters, anyone heading to a gig or match, and travellers who'd rather not pay on-the-day prices at the airport.

You search by postcode or place name, pick your times, add your registration and pay. Your confirmation comes with directions to the space. Many listings let you cancel up to 24 hours before the start time. As well as one-off bookings, JustPark does monthly parking on 3, 5 or 7-day plans, and EV charging through its JustCharge network.

Airport parking is where pre-booking pays off most. The Heathrow page lists nearly 700 reservable spaces with parking from £5.90 a day, and Gatwick starts from £4.30 a day. Expect a mix of car parks, park and ride and local driveways. For event days, the Wembley Stadium page lists over 800 spaces across car parks and private driveways, so you can sort your parking when you buy your tickets.

Prices on JustPark are set by each car park or space owner and change with the date and time you pick. The figures here are the starting prices JustPark shows, and your search will show the actual rate.

Station parking works the same way. JustPark lists spaces near busy stations across the country, which is handy if you drive part of the way and take the train into a city centre. The app also has an On the move feature for finding a space while you're already driving.

How to save more

• Go monthly if you park most days. A Monday to Friday or every-day monthly plan for a dedicated space usually works out cheaper than paying daily if you commute.
• Compare driveways with car parks. Private driveways near stadiums and stations are often cheaper than the official car park, though a few minutes further away. Read the host's notes about access before you book.
• Earn it back. If you have a driveway you don't use during the day, you can rent it out on JustPark. You set the price and availability, and up to £1,000 a year can be tax free under the UK property allowance.
