Park and Go: compare and book airport parking across the UK

Park and Go is an airport parking booking agent based in York, set up in 1995. It doesn't run car parks itself. Instead it lists vetted providers at more than 20 UK airports, from Gatwick and Heathrow to Glasgow, Bristol and Southampton cruise port, and lets you compare them and book in one place.

It's handy for anyone flying from a UK airport who wants to beat the price at the barrier. You choose your airport and dates, then pick between Meet and Greet, where a driver takes your car at the terminal, off-airport Park and Ride with a shuttle bus, or on-airport parking. There are no booking fees, and changes are free apart from any difference in the parking price.

What's worth a look

Prices depend on your dates, so instead of products, here are six airport pages to start from.

At Gatwick, every option on Park and Go serves both terminals, which helps if you fly home to a different one. Check whether your Meet and Greet price includes Gatwick's drop-off charge, currently £5 for up to 10 minutes. At Heathrow, the site says every product it sells includes the airport access fee.

In the north, the Manchester page covers Park and Ride car parks with free shuttles to all three terminals, as well as Meet and Greet. At Glasgow, where Meet and Greet isn't allowed, the option is Flying Scot, a family-run park and ride with 24-hour security and on-demand transfers.

After you book, Park and Go emails a parking voucher with directions to the car park, entry instructions and the provider's phone number. If your flight is delayed and you'll be late back, let the team know so it can tell the car park and update your voucher; any extra time is charged by the car park. Phone lines and live chat are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and you can pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay as well as a card.

How to save more

• Book as early as you can: prices rise as spaces fill, and the gate price on the day is usually much higher.
• For long trips, compare Park and Ride with Meet and Greet; the shuttle option is normally cheaper.
• Travelling as a group with more than two cars? Call the office, as it may offer a special rate.
