RattanGardenFurniture.co.uk is an online garden furniture shop run by Sixty Stores Ltd from Langley Barn, just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. The name says rattan, but the range also takes in aluminium sofa sets, Moorvalley timber benches and dining sets, cast metal bistro sets, parasols, covers and outdoor heating. Delivery is free to most of mainland UK, and there's a show site near Stratford where you can see furniture before you order.

It suits anyone furnishing a patio, a balcony or a big garden, and it also sells to hotels, pubs and restaurants through its contract furniture team. Autumn is a sensible time to look: the end-of-season sale is on, and you'll have your furniture ready well before spring.

What's worth a look

Here are six pieces from across the range, with the prices shown on the site today.

For a small patio or balcony, the RC Monaco Egg Chair Bistro Set pairs two egg-shaped chairs with a small table on a powder-coated steel frame, and it's down to £199 from £259. If you entertain a lot, the MZ New York U-Shaped Sofa Set has a lightweight aluminium frame made from recycled materials, deep showerproof cushions and a five-year warranty.

Families who eat outside a lot might prefer timber. The Moorvalley 6 Seater Cheddleton Dining Set is made from pressure-treated Swedish redwood, with a 120cm table, a bench and chairs, and it's £469 in the sale. For lounging, the RC Berlin 4 Seater Rattan Lounge Set uses a flat synthetic weave on a steel frame and is £549, down from £709. Each product page shows its own delivery time in the top corner, typically 5 to 10 days for the pieces here.

How to save more

• Filter the Sale page by range or price. Moorvalley timber benches, picnic tables and arbours are among the cheapest sale lines, from £78.
• Buy a cover with your set. The Preserver 4 Seater Rectangular Table Cover is £12.99 in the sale (was £17.99), and keeping furniture dry over winter saves replacing cushions later.
• If you're spending more than £280, ask about finance on 0345 0346 570 to spread the cost over time.
• Visit the show site at Langley Barn on a weekday if you're torn between two sets. Seeing the weave, cushions and sizes in person can save the restocking fee on a return.
