Treatwell is a booking site and app for hair, beauty and wellness appointments at thousands of independent salons, spas and therapists across the UK. Instead of ringing round, you search by treatment and postcode, compare venues, prices and reviews, and pick a slot, any time of day. It suits people who like to book late at night or on the bus, anyone after a last-minute appointment, and anyone looking for a gift that works almost anywhere.

Each salon sets its own prices, and Treatwell shows what's on offer before you book. You can pay online in advance or at the venue, depending on the salon. Off-peak and last-minute slots are often where the better prices are. The free app has the same search, plus your bookings and Rewards balance in one place.

What's worth a look

Treatwell covers almost every treatment you can think of, so here are its main areas to start with.

The hair salon section covers everything from ladies' and men's cuts to blow dries, colour, highlights, balayage and Brazilian blow dries. The massage pages explain the difference between Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, hot stone and aromatherapy massage, which helps if you're not sure what to book. Nails, brows, lashes, facials, waxing, threading, spray tans and body treatments are all there too.

The Treatwell Gift Card is an e-gift card you choose the value of. It arrives by email with a 14-digit code and can be spent on any available service at partner venues. Any leftover balance stays in the recipient's Treatwell Wallet for next time, and cards are valid for 12 months from purchase. Businesses can buy them in bulk for staff.

Current offers

The main ongoing perk is Treatwell Rewards, the free loyalty scheme:

  • Earn up to 3 points for every £1 you spend on bookings.
  • 1,500 points gets you a £10 voucher, and 2,500 points gets you a £25 voucher off your next booking.
  • Points are valid for 12 months from the booking date.

Treatwell also flags "smart prices" for last-minute and off-peak slots at many venues.

How to save more

  • Pay in advance. Treatwell says paying online when you book earns more Rewards points than paying at the venue.
  • Be flexible on timing. Weekday daytime and last-minute slots are where you'll usually find lower prices, so check a few times and dates before you book.
  • Don't let points lapse. Points expire 12 months after each booking, and points below a milestone can't be spent. Regular bookers should aim to hit the 1,500 mark within the year.
