Viking Direct has been supplying UK offices for more than 35 years. It sells pretty much everything a workplace gets through: paper, pens, ink and toner, office chairs and desks, cleaning and kitchen supplies, and tech such as keyboards and printers. It sells to businesses of every size, but anyone can order, so it's handy for home offices too.

One thing to know before you browse: prices on the site are shown excluding VAT by default, which suits business buyers. If you're shopping for yourself, use the switch at the top of the page to see prices with VAT included so there are no surprises at checkout. The prices below are the ex-VAT figures shown on each product page.

If you're working from a kitchen chair, the Viking Realspace Karl operator chair is on a promo price of £109.00. It has a breathable mesh back with built-in lumbar support, synchro tilt, height-adjustable armrests and a seat that adjusts between 500 and 590mm. For the desk itself, the CHERRY Gentix wireless keyboard and mouse set is on promo at £12.99, which is a cheap way to tidy up the cables.

Paper is where buying in bulk pays. The Viking Economy A4 80gsm ream is £3.99 when you buy one to four packs, falling to £3.33 for five to 39 packs and lower still for bigger orders, so it's worth stocking up if you print a lot. The range also covers cleaning and kitchen basics like Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets, which are useful for shared office kitchens. And with the colder months here, the beurer HD 75 heated overblanket at £59.99 is a cheaper way to keep warm at a home desk than heating the whole house all day.

Current offers

• Free UK delivery on orders over £89 excluding VAT.
• Printer paper from £2.49 per ream on selected paper, with next working day delivery.
• Black Friday savings on more than 500 products, starting from £1.99.
• Buy one, get one free on diaries and planners, and a free Giant Aero bar with Viking ink and toner cartridges.

How to save more

• Look at the price table on paper and other consumables. Many products drop in price as you buy more packs, so one bigger order can work out cheaper than several small ones.
• Group your order to get past the £89 ex-VAT free delivery threshold rather than paying for delivery on small top-ups.
• Link your Nectar card. Viking gives 1 Nectar point for every £1 you spend.
