About Compensair
Compensair is an online claims service for air passengers. If your flight arrived more than three hours late, was cancelled, or you were denied boarding or missed a connection, you fill in a short form with your flight and booking details and Compensair checks whether you're likely to be owed compensation. If you are, it prepares the paperwork, sends the claim to the airline and handles the back-and-forth, including court action through partners if the airline won't pay.
The check is free and there's nothing to pay upfront. If the claim succeeds, Compensair keeps a success fee of 35% of the compensation, and its payment policy says it can add a further 10% legal fee if it has to pay for lawyers, court fees or translations. If nothing is recovered, you pay nothing. It covers EU Regulation 261/2004, the UK's equivalent rules (UK261), Turkish and Canadian passenger rights, and says it has claimed from more than 150 airlines in 60 countries.
The company behind it is Compensair Ltd, registered at Companies House in 2016 with an office at Kemp House on City Road in London. It suits travellers who'd rather not deal with an airline themselves, or whose claim has already been turned down. Airlines can take anything from a few days to several weeks to respond, and longer if a case goes to court.
