Why use Voucher Magpie?
Every edX code here comes from edX itself or its official affiliate programme, never copied from another voucher site. When you shop through our links, edX may pay us a commission. It never changes your price. We give 50% of that commission to the charity, club or school you choose, at no extra cost to you.
About edX
edX is an online learning platform offering courses, professional certificates, MicroMasters, MicroBachelors, degrees and Executive Education from universities and institutions. Its about page says it was founded in 2012 by Harvard and MIT professors Piotr Mitros, Rafael Reif and Anant Agarwal, beginning with Harvard's CS50 course, with a stated mission of expanding access to world-class education. The homepage names Harvard, Stanford and Cambridge among its partners and also sells enterprise subscriptions for teams.
It suits people upskilling for work, changing careers or studying a subject out of interest, and employers training staff. The site refers to a free account and free audit options in general terms, with paid routes for verified certificates and full programmes. The pages show 'edX by 2U' branding and a 2U Advisory Council link, but do not explicitly name a parent company.
Learning is delivered online, so there is nothing to post. Course prices and currency were not shown on the pages read, and edX is generally priced in US dollars, so UK learners should expect conversion at checkout. Support runs through the edX Help Center and a contact form. The Help Center and terms pages could not be loaded, so the refund policy was not confirmed.
