About Hootsuite
Hootsuite is a social media management platform that lets teams plan, schedule and publish posts across social networks from one dashboard. It also includes a unified inbox, analytics, brand and competitor monitoring, social listening and AI tools for writing posts and generating images. The about page says it started in 2008, when a digital marketing agency needed a tool that did not exist, and its founder built one that reached 100,000 users in its first summer.
It is aimed at marketers, small businesses, agencies and large enterprises rather than casual users. The plans page lists Standard (up to 10 social accounts and unlimited scheduled posts), Professional (unlimited accounts, workflow automation, 90-day trend forecasting and custom reports), Advanced (content approvals, message routing and team performance tracking) and Enterprise on custom pricing with single sign-on and compliance options. Some plans have a discounted nonprofit rate.
As online software there is nothing to deliver. Plans are priced per user per month, with a lower rate on annual billing. Starting amounts in the FAQ are given with a dollar sign, and no UK site or sterling pricing was found, so expect US dollars. Trials last 14 days, need no credit card and do not auto-charge.
