Sinclair Method UK is a private, Liverpool-based service that delivers The Sinclair Method, an approach to cutting down on alcohol developed from the work of Dr David Sinclair and promoted by Dr Roy Eskapa, who advises the company. The service says it has been running in the UK since 2014; the current company, Sinclair Method UK Ltd, was set up in 2019.
Everything happens by phone or video. You start with a free 15-minute call with a senior coach, then a private consultation with a UK-registered GP who decides whether treatment is suitable before anything is prescribed. Two programmes are offered: 12 weeks for £595 or 5 months for £795, both including the doctor consultation, one-to-one coaching, drop-in coaching sessions on weekdays, family support sessions, a private online community with video lessons and a summary plan at the end. Medication is charged separately, at £89 to £99 per 28 tablets, and is dispensed by a registered UK pharmacy.
It is aimed at adults in the UK who want more control over their drinking without rehab, and at families worried about someone else's drinking. Prices are in pounds and both programmes can be spread over 12 months at 0% with humm, subject to status. The fee is paid up front and is largely non-refundable once the clinical assessment starts, so read the cancellation policy first.
| Delivery | Prescribed tablets are posted by a registered UK pharmacy, usually next day if ordered before 4pm. |
|---|---|
| Returns | The programme fee is non-refundable once the clinical assessment begins, apart from a partial refund if a doctor finds you unsuitable; the 14-day cooling-off right doesn't apply to prescription medicines. |
| Ways to pay | Pay in full, or spread either programme over 12 monthly payments at 0% with humm, subject to status. |
