Duck and Cover is a British menswear brand founded in 1996. It takes familiar casual styles and updates them with modern cuts and fabrics. The online shop is run from Knutsford in Cheshire by BOI Holdings, which also owns Crosshatch, and it ships across the UK, to the EU and further afield.

It suits men who want a smart-casual wardrobe of jeans, knits and outerwear without paying high-street full price. Almost everything on the site is shown with a sale price next to the regular price, and denim is clearly the core of the range, with slim, straight, tapered and relaxed fits.

Alongside the jeans you'll find hoodies, crew knits and cardigans, chinos, T-shirts, polos, padded jackets and parkas, plus underwear and socks. New collections land each season, and there is a clearance section for older lines. A size filter shows only what is in stock in your size, which saves scrolling past sold-out jeans. Express delivery is £4.99, EU orders under £100 cost £7.99 to ship, and you can collect free from the Knutsford warehouse, usually within 24 hours, if you are nearby.

The Jelforth Jacket is a padded parka with a fixed hood and lots of utility pockets, at £85 instead of £119. For layering, the Venosa shawl-collar cardigan has horn-effect buttons and front pockets, at £40.
