Marantz is a hi-fi brand that began in New York, and its UK site sells the full current range direct: stereo amplifiers, AV receivers for home cinema, network streamers, CD and SACD players, turntables and wireless speakers. It suits people building a proper living-room system, whether that's a stereo amp for a pair of bookshelf speakers or a Dolby Atmos receiver for a home cinema. Most current models are powered by HEOS, Marantz's multi-room streaming platform, so they also work with music services and other HEOS speakers around the home.

Buying from marantz.com means the price you see is the manufacturer's own, with free delivery and next-business-day arrival for most of the UK once your order is dispatched.

If you want a streaming amp that hides away under the TV, the MODEL M1 at £950 packs 100W per channel, HDMI eARC and HEOS streaming into a small box. You just add speakers. For a more traditional hi-fi look, the MODEL 70 at £749 is a 2-channel integrated amp with HDMI ARC and Bluetooth. The MCR 60n DAB at £800 goes further, putting a CD player, DAB radio, HDMI eARC, a moving-magnet phono stage and HEOS streaming into one compact unit.

For home cinema, the CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is a 7.2-channel slimline AV receiver with Dolby Atmos at £950, small enough for a standard TV unit. Step up to the CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 at £1,850 for 9.4 channels, 110W per channel and Dirac Live room correction. At the top end, the Marantz Horizon reference wireless speaker costs £3,250.

Current offers

• Free delivery on all marantz.com orders. Orders placed before 2pm on a weekday are dispatched by courier the same day, and should arrive the next business day. Allow an extra one to two days for the islands and the Highlands.
• The homepage currently has a holiday "Celebrate Exceptional Sound" campaign, but the products we checked are showing their standard prices with nothing crossed out.

How to save more

• Choose the right number of channels. If you watch films in a normal living room, a 7.2-channel receiver like the CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 costs £900 less than the 9.4-channel CINEMA 50 SERIES 2. It still handles Dolby Atmos.
• Consider an all-in-one. The MCR 60n DAB costs less than buying a separate amplifier, CD player and streamer, and takes up much less space.
• Order before 2pm. Weekday orders before the cut-off go out the same day, which helps if you're buying for a birthday or Christmas.
