Nearly New Golf Clubs is an online golf shop based in North London, set up in 2021 to make buying second-hand clubs as safe as buying new. It suits golfers who want a recent model from TaylorMade, Ping, Titleist, Callaway or Cobra without paying full price, and anyone who would rather test a club on the course than trust a few swings in a shop.

Every club is inspected and scored from 10 to 5 separately for the head, shaft and grip, and the listing shows photos of the actual club you will get. The shop says it has more than 4,000 clubs in stock, with left-handed and ladies' sections, some brand-new and demo clubs, shafts, heads and full sets.

What's worth a look

The Ping G425 3 Hybrid is listed as new and scores 10/10, at £199.99 against an RRP of £249. If you are after a whole set, the TaylorMade P790 2023 irons are down from £599.99 to £549.99, with a 7/10 grade. Senior golfers can look at the Wilson Staff Dynapwr Max driver with a senior flex shaft, cut from £299.99 to £229.99.

Putters and wedges are worth a browse as well. The Scotty Cameron Phantom 2024 5 is listed as new at £349.99, down from £379.99, and the Callaway Opus 58-degree lob wedge is £109. If you are unsure which loft or shaft flex suits you, the shop offers an online club consultation and bookable trial and fitting sessions. It also ships to the Channel Islands and much of Europe, from £10, though EU buyers pay local VAT and duty on arrival.
