PMG Hotels & Resorts is a Balinese family-owned hotel group in Legian, the stretch of Bali's west coast just north of Kuta. It started in 1984 with Bali Niksoma, ten cottages the family built for their own holidays, and has since added The Magani Hotel and Spa in 2012 and The Bandha Hotel & Suites in 2016, plus the Royal Suites on The Bandha's rooftop. Bali Niksoma closed for renovation in January 2026 and stays shut until further notice, so for now it's three places to choose from.
It suits couples, families and friends who want to be near the beach, bars and shops of Legian rather than tucked away in the hills. The Bandha is the beachfront option, with 90 rooms and suites, two pool areas, a rooftop lounge and Mozzarella by The Sea. The Magani sits between the beach and the shops, with 108 rooms across ten types, a pool and Visala Spa. Prices are shown and charged in Indonesian rupiah, so your card provider's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee will affect what you pay in pounds.

For a special occasion, the Royal Suite Villa is a 225 sqm one-bedroom rooftop apartment with its own pool, where breakfast can be served floating in the water. Families should look at the Lil' Camper's Family Retreat, which puts a play tent, toys and books in a Junior Suite for five nights and includes breakfast for two adults and a child aged seven or under, plus airport transfers.

How to save more
- Join PMG Rewards, which is free, before you book direct. Members get a best rate guarantee, redeemable room nights and discounts on food, drink and spa treatments.
- Compare a PMG Deals package with booking the room and extras separately. The packages include airport transfers and meals, but vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within six months of purchase.
- Avoid the busiest dates if you can: packages carry an extra nightly charge from 1 July to 30 September and over Christmas, with a higher charge from 28 December to 4 January.
