Showers Direct: a Mira specialist for replacing or upgrading a shower

Replacing a shower tends to happen in a hurry, usually when the old one gives up. Showers Direct is a good place to start if you already have a Mira in the bathroom or know you want one. It's an online shop that sticks to Mira showers for the home and Rada controls for commercial washrooms. The team says the business behind it has been in plumbing distribution across the UK and Ireland since 1921, and the website opened in 2019 for both trade and household customers.

The range is broad within that one brand family. There are electric showers in power ratings from 8.5kW to 10.8kW, mixer showers for combi boilers and high-pressure systems, digital showers with wireless controls, power showers for gravity-fed homes and a section of models suited to low water pressure. Spares, shower heads, slide bars, fitting kits and shower seats sit alongside them, and there's a separate assisted-showers section for anyone adapting a bathroom. Trade buyers get commercial taps, mixing valves and panels from Rada.

What's worth a look

Here are six showers from across the range, from budget electrics to a dual-outlet digital model.

If you're swapping like for like, the Mira Jump Multi-Fit 9.5kW has several cable and water entry points, so it's designed to replace an existing electric shower without much fuss. If you have a combi boiler and fancy an upgrade, the Mira Mode digital shower can also be controlled from the Mira app, with an extra wireless remote sold separately.

Current offers

We don't have any voucher codes for Showers Direct at the moment, but the shop's own site has a few ways to save:

• Free delivery on orders over £100, with a flat £4.50 charge below that (addresses in the Scottish Highlands and Islands pay £15 or more).
• A Budget-Friendly Mira Showers page gathering models under £200, including the Mira Vie and Mira Jump ranges.
• A trade-only deal: buy three Mira Jump Multi-Fit 9.5kW Dual showers and get a fourth free. You arrange it by phone, and it runs while stocks last.

How to save more

• Check what water system you have before you order. Mixer and digital models come in separate versions for combi or high-pressure systems and for pumped gravity systems, and buying the wrong one means paying return carriage.
• Returns are accepted within 28 days, but carriage and payment processing fees come off the refund, and opened or installed items usually can't go back. It's worth ringing the team on 028 9044 8861 for a free quote and a second opinion first.
• If you need a Mira or Rada part that isn't listed, ask for a price before buying elsewhere: the shop says it can often order items in.
