Simian Saboteur is a small streetwear label from Wickford in Essex, run by founder Ryan with his dad Darren. Its tagline is "mischief in motion". Ryan started the brand after years of chronic illness and a later diagnosis of cyclothymia, and the clothes are meant as everyday armour against the voice that says you can't. That backstory gives the brand more warmth than most logo-tee labels.

The look is bold and a bit cheeky. A hand-drawn chimp turns up across the graphic tees, and the core pieces have names like Detonator, Apeache and Guerrilla. Everything comes in limited drops that the brand says it won't restock. It suits anyone who likes oversized fits and wants something you won't see on everyone else on the high street. It's also a nice pick if you'd like your money to go to a family-run British brand.

The Born to Peel 2.0 Tee is the brand's signature: a gritty chimp graphic on a 200gsm organic cotton tee with dropped shoulders, for £30. For colder months, The Saboteur puffer jacket is £89.99 and goes up to 3XL. The Classic hoodies come in heather grey, khaki green and French navy at £41.99, with matching joggers at £34.99 if you want a full set. If you prefer a lighter layer, the Warrior bomber jacket in midnight black is £79.99 and comes in sizes M to 2XL. The model in the product photos is 5ft 11in and wears a large, which is a handy guide to the fit.
