Wintour is a small, female-owned British brand that makes travel accessories. It started with a single jewellery box. Its founder, Sarah, inherited her grandmother's ring and couldn't find a box practical enough to travel with and smart enough to keep on a dressing table, so she designed her own. The range has since added passport holders and luggage tags. It's well worth a look if you travel with jewellery you care about, or need a tidy present for someone who's always packing a bag.

The range is small, so it doesn't take long to choose. The jewellery boxes are made of faux leather with a soft faux suede lining. The leather pieces are made from genuine leather and come in Orange and Merlot. All prices are in pounds, and Wintour ships worldwide.

Wintour says it designs pieces to last rather than to follow trends. It avoids overproduction and uses recycled or recyclable materials for products and packaging where it can. To keep a jewellery box looking good, the brand suggests wiping the outside with a damp microfibre cloth and cleaning the suede-lined inside with a dry cloth and a bit of tape to lift dust. You can pay with Klarna or Shop Pay Installments as well as by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

The Mini Travel Jewellery Box is the brand's bestseller, at £45. It measures 8cm by 4cm by 4cm and has a tab for studs, hoops or rings, a tab for chains and space for loose pieces. If you take more with you, the Medium Travel Jewellery Box (£65) adds a six-hole earring tab, two chain tabs and a cushioned ring section. It comes in five colours, including Aqua. The Passport Holder (£75) holds one or two passports, five cards and your boarding pass. It isn't RFID-protected, which Wintour says plainly on the product page.

Below that, standard delivery (2 to 5 working days) is £3.95, and express (1 to 2 working days) is £5.95. The site also has a Build Your Own Bundle page for putting a travel set together, though it didn't list a bundle discount when we checked.

How to save more

• A Medium box, a passport holder, or a Mini box with a luggage tag each takes you over £50, so you get free UK delivery.
• If it's a present, use the gift note option in the basket so the recipient gets a message with their parcel.
• Returns must be requested by email within 14 days, and you pay the return postage unless the item is faulty, so check colours and sizes before you order.
