About EF Ultimate Break
EF Ultimate Break is the young-adult arm of EF, the education and travel group whose footer lists EF Center Boston in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and which says it has been running trips for over 60 years. Its tours are only for travellers aged 18 to 35, and most people sign up on their own: EF says more than 60% of its travellers book solo and meet their group on the trip.
Each tour has a fixed itinerary and price, and covers accommodation, transport between cities, a dedicated tour director, guided sightseeing and some meals and activities. Trips run across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Latin America, the Middle East and North America, and are split into styles for ages 20 to 28 (usually shared rooms), 25 to 35 (one or two people per room) and a College Break range for 18 to 24-year-olds.
The site is aimed at Americans: all prices are in US dollars, and packages include round-trip flights from the US unless you choose the land-only option, which is the one to look at if you're flying from the UK. Payment can be spread with automatic monthly or fortnightly instalments from a $99 deposit, and the 30-day period after booking lets you cancel under its booking conditions.
