KFC, the fried chicken chain founded in Kentucky, chose England for its first restaurant outside North America, opening in Preston, Lancashire, in 1965. Today the UK business is run from Woking in Surrey as part of Yum! Brands, with most restaurants operated by franchisees and the rest owned by the company.
The menu centres on the Original Recipe chicken, with buckets, burgers, wraps, popcorn chicken, fries and sharing boxes. You can eat in, use the drive-thru, order ahead in the KFC app or have food brought to you through KFC's own delivery as well as the big delivery platforms.
Money-saving at KFC runs through the app. The Rewards Arcade sends you an invitation to play a game after a qualifying purchase, with menu items as prizes, and the app also holds deals and the student, Blue Light and Defence discounts. Third-party delivery orders do not earn Arcade plays, and discounts such as the student and Blue Light offers cannot be used on KFC Delivery, so collecting in person often gives you the most options.
