4gadgets is a UK shop for used and refurbished tech, running since April 2015 from Harlow in Essex. It sells second-hand phones from Samsung, Apple, Google, OnePlus and Huawei, plus tablets, smartwatches and a few consoles, and it buys old devices back through a trade-in service.

It suits anyone who wants a recent flagship without paying new prices, or who needs a dependable spare phone for a teenager or a relative. Every device is graded Pristine, Excellent, Good or Fair. The grade only describes how it looks: the shop says every device is tested and in full working order, and all online orders come with a 12-month warranty.

What's worth a look

Prices on 4gadgets start from the cheapest grade and storage, so here's where six popular models begin.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out at the moment, starting at £569.99 against a regular price of £629.99. Fans of folding phones can pick up the Galaxy Z Flip7 from £519.99, and if you want an iPhone without a big bill, the iPhone 15 starts at £364.99.

Choosing a better grade or more storage raises the price, so it's worth deciding how much a scuff or two matters to you. A Fair or Good handset will show some wear, but it should work just as well as a Pristine one.

Beyond phones, there are refurbished tablets from Apple and Samsung and smartwatches such as the Galaxy Watch 7 from £154.99. You can pay by card or PayPal, or spread the cost with Klarna or Clearpay. The customer service team is on the phone and live chat from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, and the warranty covers battery faults in the first six months as well as other defects for a year. 4gadgets doesn't deliver to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or abroad.
