Dunas Hotels & Resorts is a Canarian family business with five hotels in the south of Gran Canaria, all within easy reach of the Maspalomas Dunes and the beaches of Playa del Inglés and San Agustín. Its first two resorts opened in 1989, and the group still favours low-rise bungalows, suites and villas set in gardens over big hotel blocks. Prices on the official site are in euros, and you book direct on hotelesdunas.com.
It suits a wide range of travellers: couples after a quiet adults-only break, families who want a splash zone and kids' club, golfers and cyclists (Suites & Villas has a bike centre and sells green fees), and anyone who needs gluten-free food. Gran Canaria's year-round sunshine also makes it a popular choice for winter sun and long stays.

Couples should look first at Don Gregory by Dunas, an adults-only hotel (16 and over) right on San Agustín beach, with an infinity pool, spa and All Inclusive Select. For families, Mirador Maspalomas by Dunas is the three-star all-inclusive option, with a miniclub, a children's splash zone, a transfer to the beach and a disco in winter. Maspalomas Resort puts its rooms in separate bungalows among gardens and pools close to the dunes.

If you're staying elsewhere on the island, the Mirador Maspalomas Daypass costs €50 per person and includes buffet lunch with drinks, the pools and pool-bar snacks from 11:00 to 18:00. Gift cards for any amount can be spent at any of the five hotels.
How to save more
- Join the free Dunas Club before you book. Members get 5% off their first stay, 10% from the second, and 12% once they have spent €15,000, plus discounts at partner restaurants, spas and the bike centre.
- Use the best price guarantee. If you find the same stay cheaper on another website, email Dunas within 24 hours of booking and it will match the price, as long as the difference is over €5.
- Pick your rate carefully. The free-cancellation rate can be cancelled at no cost up to 4 days before arrival, while Pay Now rates are cheaper but non-refundable.
