Jem City is a UK clothing brand that started in 2020 and specialises in embroidered casual wear. Its hook is a set of made-up clubs named after glamorous places: the Monaco Yacht Club, Positano Yachting Club, Antibes Sailing Club, Courchevel Ski Club, St Tropez Sailing Club, Calabasas Social Club and Chelsea Tennis Club. Each has its own embroidered crest and lettering, in colours such as navy, beige, green and black.

It suits anyone after that relaxed, preppy look on hoodies, quarter-zip fleeces and sweatshirts, and the range is small enough to browse in a few minutes. The brand says it has more than 35,000 customers, and every autumn it brings back its heavier pieces in a Winter Restock. Jem City sells online only and ships from the UK by Royal Mail.

What's worth a look

Here are six pieces from the current range and the sale, with prices as shown on the site in late October.

The Monaco Fleece is one of the brand's best sellers and is back in the Winter Restock in navy, green, black and beige. If you want something warmer, the heavyweight hoodies are the thickest pieces in the range. In the sale, the Knit 1/4 Zip is half price in beige, green and purple, and several sweatshirts are down from £45 to £30.

Popular pieces do sell out: the Monaco Hoodie in navy was showing as sold out when we looked. If you're not sure of someone's size, there's a Jem City gift card from £10. UK orders usually leave within two working days by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or Tracked 24, and orders to the EU and further afield are sent with duties paid at checkout, so there's nothing extra to pay on delivery.
