Wood Belt makes belts with a difference: the buckle is carved from wood. The brand comes from Kranj in Slovenia, where it has worked with local wood and leather craftspeople since 2017, and it patented its wooden buckle in 2018. Buckles are made from walnut, beech or maple offcuts and paired with vegetable-tanned leather, regular leather, cork or a strap made entirely from wooden cut-offs. The company describes itself as a not-for-profit venture that employs people from underserved groups.

It suits anyone who wants a belt that stands out a bit, or something different to give as a present, and it's worth a look if a metal buckle doesn't agree with you.
