About Carwow
Carwow describes itself as an online platform for buying a new car or selling your old one. It began as a car reviews site and has grown into one of Europe's largest online car-changing destinations. In 2024 it acquired Autovia and formed Carwow Group. It says more than 12 million customers have used it to buy or sell a car, and it works with over 6,000 dealer partners.
For buyers, it lists new and used cars with deal categories such as 0% finance, no deposit and immediate delivery, plus car leasing through Carwow Leasey (personal and business contract hire). Leasing deals usually run two or three years with annual mileage of 5,000 to 20,000, and the initial payment is typically three, six or nine times the monthly payment. Sellers enter their registration for a free valuation, agree a reserve price, and the car goes to an online auction open to dealers. Selling is free, with no admin fees, and the dealer collects the car and can pay you there and then. The site also offers insurance, reviews and a car history checker.
For UK shoppers, everything is priced in pounds. Carwow is a credit broker and says it may receive fees from retailers advertising finance and commission from partner dealers for introducing customers. Support hours are listed as Monday to Friday 9:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 9:00 to 17:30 via the Help Centre.
