Ocado is an online-only supermarket. It set up its first office in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, in 2000 and by 2002 was delivering groceries from its first automated warehouse there. Since August 2019 the shop at ocado.com has been run by Ocado Retail, a 50:50 joint venture between Ocado Group and Marks & Spencer. Ocado Group now mainly sells its warehouse technology to grocers around the world.
The range covers fresh food, cupboard staples, frozen food, drinks, household goods, baby products, health and beauty and pet supplies. It includes M&S food alongside other brands and Ocado's own lines. Ocado says it matches Tesco.com prices, including Clubcard prices, on more than 10,000 products.
