About California Psychics
California Psychics is a paid psychic reading service, run by Outlook Amusements, Inc., that connects callers with advisors by phone or online chat. It says it started in 1995 and claims more than 11 million readings. Topics include love and relationships, career, money and big life decisions. The site is clear that readings are for entertainment purposes only and that users must be 18 or older.
The company says it hand-selects its advisors, accepting only about two in every hundred who apply. Advisors can be browsed by specialty, and the service says they are available around the clock. Customer care also runs 24/7 by phone, text and live chat. Rates are listed from $5 to $23 per minute depending on the advisor, with an introductory offer for new customers starting from $25 for up to 20 minutes of account credit, and a separate 15 minutes free sign-up offer.
For UK shoppers there are caveats. Prices are in US dollars, the contact numbers are US toll-free numbers, and the pages we read do not say whether the service is available to people in the UK, so check before you sign up. Its guarantee says that if a reading is unsatisfactory you should contact customer care within 24 hours, though it does not promise that any prediction will come true. Only credit cards in the user's own name are accepted, according to its terms page.
