About Discountlens
Discountlens.it is the Italian site of Discountlens, an online contact lens retailer run by Vision Group AG from Dietlikon, near Zurich in Switzerland. The company says Discountlens started in 2004 and links its story to Urbach Optik and to Jacqueline Urbach, a pioneer of soft and coloured contact lenses, and it says it runs online shops in eight European markets.
The range covers daily, two-weekly and monthly lenses from brands such as Acuvue, Dailies, Biofinity, Air Optix, Biotrue and Clariti, including toric and multifocal lenses. There are also multipurpose and peroxide cleaning solutions, eye drops, lens cases and reading glasses. Prices are in euros, and many products show a lower price against a higher reference price. A subscription option sends repeat orders at set intervals with free delivery each time.
This is not a shop for UK shoppers: its delivery page says products are delivered only in Italy. Delivery costs from €3.99 to €9.99 depending on the service, and it is free on orders from €99. Unopened spherical lenses and care products can be returned within 30 days at the customer's cost, and customer service is by Italian freephone or email in Italian.
